Director/Owner and Coaches
Jim Billesimo is the Director/Head Coach of the Red Fox Aquatic Club. Billesimo started his association with the college in 1977 as the Head Age Group Coach for the Marist Swim Club. In 1983, he was given the reigns of the collegiate women's team. The highlight of his four years in charge was runner-up finiash in the Metropolitan Swim Conference.
Billesimo then moved on to New Jersey, where he was the Head Coach
of Montclair State University. While there, his women's team
secured top 20 finishes at the NCAA Women's Division III
Championships with multiple NCAA All-Americans. Outside of college
athletics, he was the Director/Head Coach of the Montclair Aquatic
Club for six years from 1987-1993.
During his tenure at both Marist and Montclair State, he was the
Vice President at the Women's Metropolitan Swimming
Conference.
Beginning in 1995, he became the Associate Head Coach of the Atlantis Aquatic Club in Bethlehem, Pa. During his eight years, he saw eight members qualify for the Olympic Trials, including one finishing fourth at the 2000 Trials for the 200-yard butterfly. That swimmer went on to win the World University Games establishing a new games record. Billesimo also had four of his swimmers post times to rank in the top 100 of the world.
With his success at Atlantis, he moved back into the collegiate ranks in Bethlehem as a volunteer assistant/stroke clinician at Lehigh University. He served on the Mountain Hawks' staff for six years.
The Red Foxes first-ever women's coach, Billesimo rejoined the Marist coaching staff in 2009 after stops in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Jim took over the Head Coaching Position of the Red Fox Aquatic Club in 2011. In 2021 Jim assumed the role of Director/Head Coach of the club.
Jake Bogen is from Spackenkill, NY. He began his swimming career at age 6. He swam on RFAC from 2016-2020 and continued to train with the team for four more years during the off season of his college career.
He is a SUNY Cortland swimming alum who is currently student teaching and finishing up his degree in physical education. While at SUNY Cortland, Jake swam all four years and was a SUNYAC finalist in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke and butterfly events each year. During the 2021-2022 season, he earned an all time top 10 spot for the 100 yard fly in the SUNY athletic conference. He also worked with the Cortland Adapted Swim Team where he worked with members from the community with unique needs and taught them how to swim and improve their aquatic skills.
Jake will be the age group coach for the 2024-2025 season and is excited to work with the RFAC athletes!
